Tomas' Story

Tomas was born on February 18, 1980, in Argentina, in a large family of nine siblings. He faced the loss of his father at 13, developing strong independence and a love for work. In 1997, after graduating from school, an internship at Bayer marked his entry into the professional workforce. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 2010, in 2012 he received an offer and he moved to Germany where he worked at Lanxess Chemical company. He returned to Argentina at the end of 2013 after his international career in Germany. In 2015, he joined the Clara Barcelo footwear business, where, thanks to his administrative skills, he drove improvements in the company, launched a website, and expanded the brand through franchises and multi-brand stores.

Tomas’ Journey and Partnership

He married Clara in 2019, continuing their story together in the growth of the brand. Tomas grew up in Argentina as one of nine siblings, learning early on how to navigate life’s challenges and develop a deep sense of independence. When his father passed away, Tomás was just 13, and that experience fueled his determination to stand on his own feet and carve his own path.

By 17, he had already stepped into the working world, landing an internship at Bayer, where he quickly discovered a love for business and problem-solving. After gaining international experience in Germany at a major chemical company, Tomas returned to Argentina in 2013, ready for his next adventure. In 2015, he joined forces with Clara Barcelo, stepping into her growing footwear brand.

Taking care of bussiness

Clara was the heart and creative force behind the brand, meticulously crafting each design. But it was Tomas’ knack for business that really propelled the company to the next level. He introduced streamlined cost accounting, optimized inventory management, and brought digital marketing and e-commerce into the mix, helping the brand make its mark online. Franchising and licensing opportunities soon followed, expanding the brand's reach into multi-brand stores and new markets. Tomas took care of the business side, allowing Clara to focus on what she does best—designing and crafting her artisanal shoes. But his contribution wasn’t just in the numbers and logistics. Tomas brought a fresh, lively energy to the brand, adding a playful edge that resonated with a broad customer base. His influence has made the brand feel not only refined and luxurious but also approachable and fun.
